The WVC will hold its 8th annual Women's Congress from May 30th to June 1st, 2014 at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) Earthrise Retreat Center in Petaluma, California. The gathering will include presentations from visionary researchers, healers, activists and artists from the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Speakers include Gabrielle Agin-Liebes of the New York University Psilocybin Cancer Anxiety Study, Ecosexual artists Annie Sprinkle and Elizabeth Stephens, Joanne Naughton of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP), and anthropologist Beatriz Labate and psychologist Clancy Cavnar, authors of "The Therapeutic Use of Ayahuasca," in conversation with ethnobotanist Kat Harrison. Laura Blanco de León, President of the Association of Cannabis Studies of Uruguay, will talk about the creation of legislation in Uruguay regulating the legal production, sale and use of cannabis. Tickets to the event are $350. This amount includes a $75 tax deductible membership to the WVC, a 501C3 nonprofit organization. The Women's Congress welcomes students and is open to people of all genders.
