Community Participation Guidelines

 

1. Be respectful, patient, assume good intent, and re-read your responses before posting. You have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective. However, you are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle them or the quality of this community.

 

2. Any material which constitutes defamation, slander, libel, harassment, or abuse is strictly prohibited. Material that is obscene, racist, or otherwise discriminatory is not permitted. Also forbidden is posting anything regarding the buying, selling, acquisition, or distribution of illegal substances.


3. Spam is an irrelevant, unsolicited advertisement for goods, services and/or other web sites, or posts with little, or completely unrelated content. Spamming also includes sending private messages to a large number of different users. Any post considered spam will be removed.

 

4. Please do not cross-post by posting the same question/topic in more than one forum.

 

5. Check if someone has already started the topic and try to join that conversation thread by searching the forums for your keywords before you post.

 

6. Be descriptive in your post Title, using relevant details.

7. Please do not post threads text in all CAPITALS since this is considered to be shouting and is not necessary.

8. Please try not to post images larger than 800x600. This is considerate to members with slow internet speeds, and keeps the forum looking tidy.

9. Using red text is forbidden. Only moderators and administrators may use this.

10. No hacking or other illegal digital activity such as torrents and illegal downloads will be tolerated.

 

11. More than one account per person is not allowed.
 

What happens if these guidelines aren't followed?

 

Any user is encouraged to report issues to the administrators or moderators, who have the right to edit, delete, move or close any thread, post, or other content as they deem necessary, without prior warning.
Depending on the severity of the infraction, a different course of action may be taken, but the usual practice is as follows :

1st minor offense:  User will be contacted by direct message and their post or content may be corrected.

2nd minor or a more serious offense:  Warning issued.

3rd offense:  User account may be suspended temporarily, for a length of time to be determined by the administrators.

Post-suspension offenseIf the user will not learn to follow the community guidelines they may be permanently banned.
