The 2024 Giving Tuesday on December 3 could make a meaningful impact on the future of the Women’s Visionary Council (WVC). We have been a nonprofit organization since 2008 supported by donors like you. You can make a tax-exempt donation to the WVC at any time via Paypal through Every.org or by sending a check to the Women’s Visionary Council, P.O. Box 5035 Berkeley, CA 94705. Please contact us at info@visionarycongress.org so we can send you a letter confirming your donation.
The WVC also has an opportunity to win a $10,000 donation from Zeffy, the 100% free fundraising platform—and we need your help to make it happen! It’s quick, free, and takes just 3 minutes of your time to help us reach this milestone. Click here to join the challenge! The deadline for the Zeffy challenge is December 3rd, 11:59 PM EST
For more than 25 years, the WVC has led a cultural movement to amplify the voices of underrepresented people in communities that work with psychedelics. We platform elders and women in the field, many of whom received their first opportunity to speak at a WVC event before becoming leaders of their own organizations. What does $10,000 mean for the WVC? This funding will allow us to do the following.
– Host the 18th Women’s Visionary Congress in Berkeley, CA, in September 2025, continuing a decades-long tradition of sharing wisdom and amplifying women’s voices in the psychedelic ecosystem.
– Expand our “Amplifying the Wisdom of Psychedelic Elders” project, inspired by our standing-room-only panel at the 2023 Psychedelic Science conference . This includes documenting protocols, processes, and life lessons from the most senior guides and practitioners in the field.
– Grow the Laura Huxley Grant Fund, which has supported the foundational work of psychedelic elders for 14 years.
– Develop new initiatives including an in-person/online book club, a mentorship program, and translations of key works into European languages.
– Support harm reduction workshops, teaching essential skills like consent, boundary setting, and psychic self-defense during psychedelic experiences .
Your support also helps us continue collaborations like preserving the Shulgin Farm, a vital community space, and expands the scope of our Safety Tips for Psychedelic Ceremonies that we first published in 2014 to promote safer psychedelic practices globally.
Every contribution towards this effort helps preserve the wisdom of elders, cultivate resilience, and foster inclusivity in psychedelic communities. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We could not continue the WVC legacy without your continued support!
